About Us

St. Mary's Pre-School Ltd, Yate is a privately owned pre-school operating in the centre of Yate Town. We operate out of St. Mary’s Old School. The building is a community building, servicing the local community and offering many activities and clubs throughout the week. 

 

The pre-school is open from Monday - Friday during South Gloucestershire’s academic term time only for 38 weeks a year. Our opening  hours are 09:00 am – 15:00. Sessions run for 3 hours from 09:00-12:00 and 12:00-15:00. Children can choose to do a range of sessions from half day to full day over five days. 

 

The Pre-School  cater for children aged between 2 and 5 years. 

 

The Pre-School is Owned by Husband and Wife Team and has been running as a business since 2008. Previously the Pre-School operated as a charitable organisation for over 30 years, where we operated inside the church as St. Mary's Church Pre-School. Since 2008 we have been operating in the old school building situated in the car park opposite St. Mary's Primary School. 

 

We take children who access the Government Early Years Education Grant for 2/3/4 year olds, we take the thirty hours education grant and we also take a range of childcare vouchers. Sessions generally consist of between 20- 32 children in the preschool room and up to 8 children in the two year room.
